Yes, I have a degree in Finance and English and went the college route to appease my Indian parents, but I have always known my true passion was in creating. My 14-year-old and 24-year-old self alike loved the idea of a uniform aesthetic; I even remember ditching my friends just to make my Tumblr feed beautiful.
In many ways, that girl still lives. Whether it’s through Tumblr, Instagram, Tik Tok, The Indian Standard, or The Ordinaries, I have always been someone that just enjoyed putting out content; I romanticize the idea of curating the perfect combination of text and imagery to convey a thought. My passion has always lied within the arts and I will continue to be this way for the rest of my life.
I will ALWAYS be in the MIDST of SELF-DISCOVERY.
I believe that everything happens for a reason and the last ten years of my life have been anything but simple. I talk about mental health and spirituality passionately - I want to bring my story to light because the thought of young girls and boys crying in their dorm rooms haunted me. The concept that “everyone suffers” tortured me. I made it a mission to help even one person out there - even if that one person is me.
This healing journey has provided me with priceless insight. For so long, I assumed that once this journey was over, I would be ready for the next phase of my life. However, that cannot be further from the truth. The healing journey is only ever meant to bring you closer to you and for you to finally realize that you have always been loved, worthy, and deserving of the life you always dreamed of.
